Our classrooms are more than a place for students to sit and be taught. In todays connected world, our classrooms have needed to evolve. In every classroom at Worongary we have installed an interactive whiteboard with its own dedicated computer system, connecting our classrooms to limitless information. Students and teachers can now utilise interactive learning objects to help them better understand topics. They can connect with university professors to clarify a topic, or even connect with a classroom on the other side of the world to learn by talking and seeing how they live.
With Education Queensland’s investment in eLearning materials through the Learning Place like eTc Maths and English, Worongary’s own investment in Mathletics and Reading Eggs, plus many other educational software packages, our students have access to world leading educational platforms. In every classroom students and teachers also have access to a digital camera, flatbed scanner, microscope and multiple computer systems. We have also started introducing handheld devices in the hands of students with our Nintendo DS, iPod and iPad program expanding every year.
