Our library received an upgrade in 2011 which provided us with new furniture and shelves, allowing us to create an open learning environment. Our library is physically and literally the literacy centre of our school. The central hub of information and resources, the library plays an integral role in our reading and research learning.
With the new addition to our literacy centre, students and teachers are filling the library at every opportunity.
We had been planning to build a “Reading Tree” for a few years, but with the demise of Borders, an opportunity arose for us to acquire their one of a kind tree.
With the support of the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) and the student council, the “Inquizador" the tree of knowledge now stands proudly in our library. With a few additions, the tree now reads to the students and some very exciting student led projects are currently being planned too.
