The tuckshop, the Delta Deli, is a service provided by the Parents and Citizens Association (P&C). It has paid convenors running the day to day operations with the help of voluntary workers, who strive to keep this valuable service running smoothly. We are always looking for parents to help in our canteen.

We encourage children to eat healthy foods and our Delta Deli menu follows the government regulations implemented in 2007. “Smart Choices” focuses on the supply of healthy foods and drinks in all canteens. Food that is on offer includes salads, wraps, sandwiches, sushi, fresh fruit, low fat muffins, juice and milk. Our menu is constantly upgrading when new and improved items become available.

No frozen goods can be ordered online for first break, but can be ordered for second break.

Seniors (Years 3-6) can purchase over the counter from 11.10 am – 11.25 am.

Seniors can order frozen goods to be collected during second break (will receive bag with stamp).

Juniors (Year 1-2) can purchase over the counter from 1.40 pm – 1.55 pm, including frozen goods.

Seniors can collect ordered frozen goods (i.e. bag with stamp) from 1.40 pm – 1.55 pm but are not able to purchase other items at this time.

When a student presents without morning tea and/or lunch:

  1. The Teacher is to discuss the situation with the Student and establish why they do not have food with them at school.
    (This includes checking bags with students if necessary)
  2. If no food is located in the Student’s bag, the teacher is to call the office and inform Administration Support Staff of the situation.
  3. Administration Support Staff will contact the Student’s Parent/Guardian and give them the option of bringing food to the school for their child or accepting the alternative lunch (as described above). Parents/Guardians will not be given the option to place an order with the tuckshop.
  4. Administration support staff will record their conversation with individual Parents/Guardians on OneSchool.
  5. If Parents/Guardians accept the alternative lunch, students will be called to the office by Administration Support Staff to collect their food.

The Tuckshop operates five days a week at Worongary State School from 8:30am - 2:00pm.

Lunch breaks are:

  • 1st Break 11.00 am – 11.40 am
  • 2nd Break 1.40 pm – 2.10 pm

The Tuckshop will be closed for the entire last day of each term for cleaning purposes.
